Before & After
Getting Tattooed
Before
-
You need to be well rested, ate a proper meal beforehand and be well hydrated. Just to be safe, bring some snacks with you to avoid getting nauseous.
-
In most cases, design will be prepared right before the appointment and adjusted on the spot in the company of client.
-
I do not copy tattoos or designs of other artists. Getting inspired by others is fine, but blatantly copying is not
-
The client comes alone to the appointment. (exception for medical reasons)

-
Tattoo procedure may be refused or stopped if:
-
Client turns out to be underage
-
Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
Is visibly sick or gets nauseous to the point where continuing the procedure might be dangerous
-
Is rude to tattoo artists or other clients
-
After
-
Right after the tattoo is done, it`s cleaned and disinfected and will be covered with "second-skin", that you can leave on for 2 to 4 days. If it starts to come off sooner or gets dirty, just take it off. Couple hours after the procedure, there might form some lymph and blood underneath the second-skin, that`s completely normal.
-
It`s water resistant, so you can go into short showers with it, but not bath. It`s best to take it off under water as well
-
After you take it off, clean your tattoo with some warm water and regular soap, not disinfectants and other chemicals
-
After that, start using the aftercare. (That your tattoo artist recommends)
-
Fresh tattoo can be considered as an open wound so you need to treat it with caution - avoiding dirty surfaces, scratching it, direct sunlight, swimming (especially in steady waters), long baths, sauna, excessive sweating and physical activities and keeping animals away from the fresh tattoo
-
Avoid drinking alcohol
-
After a week or so the scabs will start to come off, don`t scratch them, if they are dry and itchy, apply more aftercare
-
After the scabs are gone, the skin around the tattoo may still be a little bit dry and scaly, it will go back to normal within a month
